Choice of Dessert
by Manon Cartmell, Aged 7
(as told to Lucy Harris)
Once there was a very chubby boy called Jeff. His favourite part of the day was lunchtime and dinner time because it meant he got pudding.
One day his parents told him that they were going to the shops because he had eaten all the pudding. But then his mum said you need to have a piece of fruit with your pudding so you can lose weight a little bit. So they went to the shops and when he got there he went straight to the pudding isle and it was full of fruit because he had eaten all the pudding in the shop too!
So his mum took him to an ice cream parlour instead because he had eaten all the puddings. When he got there his mother said ‘you can have one scoop of ice cream of your choice, two scoops, one my choice one your choice, or three scoops all my choice’. As he was a greedy boy he chose three scoops, and his mum chose three flavours: broccoli, sweet corn and avocado flavour (it was a very special ice cream shop). He thought they would be yucky but as he was hungry he still guzzled them down and discovered he liked vegetables. What would you do if someone gave you these three choices?
The Corpse That Came In Person
by Peggy Cartmell, Aged 12
James smith, a lovely man always liked helping everyone, cleaning toilets , helping the elderly and best of all he hosted a party a week to rase money for charity, smith had a desire to always help. He was born with a condition which made him incredibly ill and then he passed away suddenly when he was only 20. But seeing as he helped so much his spirits came alive and he became a zombie. But the night came for his fundraising event so over one hundred people came to light a candle to commemorate his life but as people were arriving they heard something strange, music,so they went around the side gate and saw James Smith standing right there.
